Yes, we want this! Everything we know about the return of Netflix’s “hot rabbi”
Our prayers have been answered! One of our favourite romantic comedy series from last year, Netflix's Nobody Wants This with "hot rabbi" Noah (Adam Brody) and agnostic podcaster Joanne (Kristen Bell), has been renewed for a second season.
While we anxiously wait for the show's return, we've just heard that one of the key cast members from series one has been promoted to series regular - and we can't wait to see what it means for their character.
Here's everything you need to know about Nobody Wants This series two, including the latest updates on the plot, casting and the release date.
What happened in Nobody Wants This series one?
The will-they-wont-they romantic comedy series focuses on the romance between two mismatched characters - “hot Rabbi” Noah (Brody) and sex & relationships podcaster Joanne (Bell).
The show, which launched in September last year, hooked us fast and we weren't the only ones to binge watch it... The series quickly became a hit on Netflix with nearly 16 million views thanks to its wonderful mix of romance, humour and incredible chemistry between the two leads.
We can't wait to see what comes next !
What will happen in Nobody Wants This series two?
The romantic cliffhanger ending of season one saw Noah and Joanne decide to continue their relationship, despite lingering questions over whether Joanne would convert to Judaism.
Although not much detail has been revealed about the plot of series two, we’re now deeply invested in what comes next for the couple and hope the show will pick up right where we left them.
Talking about potential season two plots with IndieWire, creator and executive producer Erin Foster said: "The story in season 1 unfolds really slowly. And so I think if there is a Season 2, I would want to just kind of pick up where we leave off and continue to take it slow, because I don’t want us to get too far ahead of ourselves. I mean, I want my show to be on the air as long as possible!”
Who's starring in Nobody Wants This series two?
In addition to lead couple Adam Brody and Kirsten Bell, siblings Morgan (Justin Lupe) and his Sasha (Timothy Simons) are also expected to return in the upcoming series.
Plus, we're likely to see a lot more of of Esther Roklov as Jackie Tohn has been promoted to series regular, according to Deadline.
How can I watch Nobody Wants This?
The good news is Netflix has confirmed a second series of Nobody Wants This will arrive on our screens in 2025. That said, with filming reportedly starting in March, we're not likely to see it until the end of the year. In the meantime, you can catch up on or re-watch the first series on Netflix now.
