Next time you check into a hotel, be sure to check out its on-site rainforest. This may sound far-fetched, but it’s a reality if you’re checking into the new, uber-luxurious offering in Dubai.
The Rosemont Hotel & Residences will be the world’s first hotel to contain an actual rainforest when it opens in 2018. The sumptuous complex, which will be run by Hilton brand Curio, will consist of two 47-storey towers and will also house an artificial beach and trampoline park, plus a swimming pool on an upper floor that extends past the edge of the tower.
But this is not the first indulgent hotel on the scene. From rooms carved out of ice to underwater boudoirs, here are the world’s most extravagant hotels.
