Victoria Beckham is here to prove that white satin gowns are not just for your wedding day. At her latest engagement, thefashion designer made a case for wearing a slinky ivory gown at occasions other than walking down the aisle.

This weekend, Beckham attended a black-tie dinner at Highgrove House in the Cotswolds in honour of The Kings Foundation to celebrate, according to a post by the charity on Instagram, "UK-Italy relations, slow food and sustainable fashion." Also in attendance at the dinner was Dame Helen Mirren, Stanley Tucci, and of course Beckham's husband David.

For the evening, the designer opted for an ivory gown from her eponymous brand, constructed with a conservative neckline, slit caped-sleeves, ruched-detailing above the hips and a floor-skimming skirt which pooled around her feet. The flattering satin fabric and demure cut of the gown evoked a modern bridal design, but Beckham's elegant look made a strong case for the versatility of a white dress beyond its wedding-day connotations.

Fans of the dress will be happy to find out that the dress is currently available to buy in both ivory and black, though if Beckham's golden touch is anything to go by, we wouldn't bet on the piece staying in stock for much longer.

While the business mogul is hardly new to rubbing shoulders with the monarchy (lest we forget the memorable Spice Girl pictures posing with then-Prince Charles in the Nineties), the Beckham's relationship with the royal family has become noticeably stronger in the past few years. Both of the couple have received an OBE for their work in their respective fields, and frequently attend at charity events and dinners put on by the palace. In December, the former Spice Girl wore another one of her own designs to a white-tie event at Buckingham Palace, opting for a sleek figure-hugging black dress with shoulder pads.
