Unforgotten's Ram Sidhu and what happened to him as season 4 star makes bombshell return
Unforgotten's sixth season has returned to ITV, with the final scenes of the first episode featuring an unexpected reappearance from Ram Sidhu (Phaldut Sharma). Sunny Khan (Sanjeev Bhaskar) arrived at the police station with intriguing information about the body discovered in the marsh.
The body was identified as Gerry Cooper and it had been concluded by the police that Mr Cooper had taken his own life by jumping into the Thames, despite his body never being found. The officer in charge of the case was imprisoned in 2022 on multiple corruption charges.
Sunny was familiar with the officer, Ram Sidhu, having charged him himself. Ram was shown in his cell at Ashbourne Prison before the screen faded to black.

Ram Sidhu hasn't appeared in the series since the fourth season, where he was introduced as a successful businessman and soon-to-be father. He was one of four individuals present in the car with Matthew Walsh shortly before his disappearance and subsequent discovery dead in a freezer.
In the finale of season four, it was revealed that Ram had been a trainee police officer in the 1990s and had conspired with the other three suspects to conceal Matthew's body.
Matthew Walsh met his end in the 1990s after a tragic accident in an allotment where he tripped and knocked himself unconscious, only for his killer to find him and push a metal foundation pen nib through his head wound.
Just weeks before his disappearance, he had assaulted Ram. However, another suspect emerged with ties to Walsh.
Dean, a shady businessman known for his mysterious trips to Calais, had altered his own identity to hide his links to his family of career criminals, and it was revealed that Dean was the one who murdered Matthew.
Ram found himself facing jail time as he was charged with preventing a lawful burial of a body and was also implicated in Dean's cocaine smuggling operation. Ram is portrayed by Phaldut Sharma, a Welsh actor and dancer recognised for his roles in Gravity, Gavin & Stacey and EastEnders.
Born in the UK to Guyanese Hindu parents, one of his earliest roles was as Vinnay Ramdas in Casualty, and he later appeared in Life on Mars and The Office.
He has also made a name for himself on stage in Rat Pack Confidential and Boiling Frogs.
Unforgotten will continue on ITV on February 10.
