Not a eyeshadow fan? Trinny London's new cream shades will change your mind

  • 🛍️ What is it: Trinny London Eye2Eye pot

  • I tried it for: One week

  • I rate it: 5/5

  • 💸 Why it’s worth buying: They take seconds to blend, are compact and easy to fit in your make-up bag, stackable with other Trinny London products and there's a shade to suit most skin tones.

  • 📉 Its biggest drawback: At £18 per pot, they don't come cheap.

I'm a longtime fan of Trinny London products. In fact, I've tested almost everything the brand offers, from its cream-based stackable make-up to the refillable skincare and best-selling Miracle Blur.

One of my favourite items from the ever-growing range is the Eye2Eye eyeshadow pots, which span matte, metallic and shimmer finishes.

Last week, Trinny London unveiled four new shades; Harmony, Serenity, Joy and Passion which are a mix of a dusky pink, a neutral brown and a shimmery pink and plum.

Costing £18, the new additions means there's now a whopping 32 Eye2Eye shades to shop - you're truly spoilt for choice.

Over the past week, I've put the four new colours to the test, incorporating them into my make-up routine to see how well they blend, how pigmented they are and their staying power.

🛍️ Why it’s worth buying

Harmony is a tan shade that you could almost mistake for bronzer - given how multipurpose Trinny London products are, you could also apply it to your face with no bother.

For me this was the most flattering shade of the four, as it added instant warmth without looking too orange and the brown undertones suited my pale skin.

To apply, simply dab it onto your eyelid with your finger and tap into skin until the whole area is covered. Add lashings of mascara and you're good to go - it's the perfect everyday colour.

While this shade looks very similar the one above, it's actually a dusky pink. If you love a smokey eye look, this makes a great base, but I liked to wear it on its own with a bit of liquid eyeliner. I would describe this as a grown up pink that's both great for everyday, and paired with a bold lipstick. It lasts very well too, I wore it all day and by the time I got home, it was still in pretty good shape, with just a slight touch up needed thanks to my oily eyelids.

Joy | £18 from Trinny London

Joy is a shimmery pink that's super flattering on blue eyes. It's very pigmented with fantastic colour payoff, and I loved layering it over Serenity for an eye-brightening finish, but you can also dab it in the inner corner of your eyelid for extra glowiness. With shimmer cream formulas like this, I would always recommend patting it onto skin, rather than swiping, to ensure even coverage.

Passion | £18 from Trinny London

If you're keen to explore more sultry eyeshadow shades without looking like a panda, Passion is perfect. It's a rich, deep plum colour with a sprinkle of pink shimmer throughout and while it may look very dark in the pot, it's actually a slightly sheerer colour payoff. This is not say it looks wishy washy, but once blended across your lids, it has a slight brown undertone. For a darker colour like this, I would recommend applying with your fingers, then blending with a small, fluffy eyeshadow brush to ensure there's no patchiness.

📉 Its biggest drawback

Spending £18 on a singular eyeshadow is hardly affordable, but I think these shades are a worthwhile investment and last a long time.

My recommendation would be to pick the best everyday colour for you - mine is Harmony - in order to get the most use out of it. Take a look at the other 28 shades Trinny London offers too.

💰 Best deals we can find right now

Currently, Trinny London products can only be bought directly from its website, and take it from us, sales are few and far between.

That's not to say there's never money to be saved however.

In February, the brand hosted a flash 24-hour sale to celebrate founder Trinny Woodall's birthday, discounting products by up to 20% - keep your eyes peeled on the site to be first in the know for the next event.
