In 2017, TV stylist Trinny Woodall launched her eponymous beauty brand, Trinny London, and ever since, its products have been a firm fixture in my make-up routine. Focused on streamlining your beauty regime, the majority of Trinny London products are cream-based, multi-purpose products which come in stackable pots that can be easily attached or detached for use on the go.

As a beauty journalist, I've tried many of the stackable Trinny London pots and here's my top three worth stocking up on while they're on offer...

3 tried & tested products to shop in the Trinny London sale

Trinny London

This little pot contains a creamy, colourless formula that can be used across all skin tones to smooth, prime and blur texture.

  • It blurs imperfections and fine lines
  • It's mattifying and reduces an oily T-zone
  • A little goes a long way so it will last you ages
  • You can buy a primer for less

It has been a part of my own routine for over two years and it's a brilliant multi-tasker that has rave reviews from other shoppers too.

The translucent formula has a multitude of uses; blurring pores, temporarily filling fine lines and even helping with the appearance of acne scars.

The mattifying, satin texture is translucent so there's no colour, meaning you don't need to worry about fiddly shade matching as it will suit all skin tones.

Typically I like to apply a small amount of the colour-free formula with my finger under my eyes, over and around my nose before putting on make-up to create a texture-free, super soft and smooth base.

It also helps ensure your lipstick lasts longer, especially of you're like me and love a bold, bright red. Simply dap a small amount around you lips before applying as usual and it will stop the colour from smearing or smudging.

Trinny London

These cream-based eyeshadow and liner pots are highly rated for being easy to apply and blend - simply dab your finger or a fluffy brush and buff onto eyelids.

  • There are 32 shades
  • They're creamy and easy to blend with just your finger
  • They can be used across the eyelid or just as a liner
  • If you're using your fingers to apply, it can be a little messy
  • It's quite pricey compared to similar products on the market

These cream eyeshadow pots span a huge range of shades from shimmery night out options to neutral, everyday shades with matte finishes.

They've been a staple in my make-up bag for months, personally I love the shades ‘fortune’, which is a rich copper and 'dawn' for a champagne rose hue. There are also darker hues, such as 'desire' or 'lovers' which are perfect for creating a smokey eye.

My top tip is to dab the product onto your bare lids with your finger, then buff out the edges with a fluffy eyeshadow brush – it couldn't be easier to get to grips with and is an easy way to play with colour or neutral shades.

These cream-based, stackable pots can double up as a wash of colour on the cheeks or as a richly pigmented lipstick.

  • They have a creamy texture that's easy to blend
  • There's 11 shades
  • A great multi-tasking product that can be used on your lips and cheeks
  • You will need a wipe or cotton pad to remove the excess after applying
  • Given its pot packaging, it's not very handy for topping up on the go

I love the creaminess of these multi-tasking pots, which double up as a cheek tint and a richly pigmented lipstick. All shades are buildable and can be easily layered to customise how much colour you want to wear.

My favourite shades are ‘phoebe’, a faded watermelon red and ‘cha cha’, a bright coral, which I love to apply with my fingers. For the perfect blush application, I find using a sponge to diffuse the colour on my cheeks works best.

My only gripe is they can be tricky to top up on the go if you're wearing them as lipstick, particularly if they've faded after eating and drinking, as you'll need a wipe or tissue to clean your hands after. If you'd prefer not to do that, you can always use a flat brush to apply and bring it with you.
