Travis Kelce Just Went Coy When Asked If He'll Propose To Taylor Swift

Travis Kelce took questions from reporters during the Super Bowl’s Opening Night, and several journalists were bold enough to ask the Kansas City Chiefs tight end about whether or not he’s planning to propose to his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, soon.

Kelce wasn’t trying to tell the world his plans, so he found several ways to dodge the question. He told one reporter, via People, 'Wouldn’t you like to know?'

He was later asked two times in a row about whether he plans to give Swift a ring. He told the reporters then of their questioning, 'Man, back to back, you guys are crazy.'

He was more forthcoming when asked about Swift’s cooking skills, if the couple is manifesting another Chiefs Super Bowl victory, and what team the Pennsylvania-born singer and her family are rooting for in the game. The Chiefs are playing the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.

When asked about the upcoming game, Kelce acknowledged the toll being away from Swift during playoffs season had on him. He said, 'I think we both love the manifest things for sure, and you can’t say it’s not real because we’re here, right? So whatever she was doing, I’m sure it helped [get us here]. And it definitely—for me to not be there supporting her during those weeks, it definitely helped.'

He also spoke about his desire to match Swift’s energy at work: 'I better hold up my end of the bargain,' he quipped. 'If she’s out here being the superstar she is, never taking no for an answer, and always working her tail off, I better match that energy for sure.'

One reporter asked about whether Swift and her dad, Scott, who are Pennsylvania natives, were conflicted over which team to support: 'I don’t know her to have the [Eagles] fandom,' Kelce said. 'I know her father has a Philadelphia fandom as an Eagles fan. She’ll be all for the Chiefs this time around for sure. [As for her dad], I’ll have to ask Scott himself. We haven’t had the convo, but I think he’ll be wearing red.'

On a lighter note, Kelce revealed his favourite dish that Swift makes: 'She is quite the cook. I mean I’m a breakfast guy, man. Her pop tarts are unbelievable, man. Her homemade pop tarts are unbelievable.'

The last update on where Swift and Kelce stand in regard to their future was reported in December, when a source told Us Weekly that they are not imminently tying the knot. 'Taylor does feel like Travis is The One, but jumping in is not her style,' the insider said. 'That’s just not how she does [things]. Marriage is a big deal, and she wants [it to be] forever.'

A second source added that they would 'love to be engaged,' but 'aren’t rushing it.'
