The Traitors' Claudia Winkleman's royal sister and superfood 'obsession'
Claudia Winkleman has returned for the third time as the presenter of BBC's game show The Traitors. 52-year-old English broadcaster and presenter is known for her dark hair, dark eye makeup and quick wit, the latter of which has made her the perfect host for numerous shows.
When she is not presenting The Traitors, viewers will probably recognise Claudia as the co-presenter of BBC's dancing show Strictly Come Dancing, which she has presented alongside Tess Daly since 2010. She also presents the Channel 4 competition show The Piano and previously hosted the Saturday mid-morning shows on BBC Radio 2.
But perhaps some viewers are unaware that Claudia has a royal sister. Born and raised in London, Claudia's parents divorced when she was three. Her father, Barry Winkleman, remarried children's author Cindy Black, and gave Claudia her younger half-sister, the actress Sophie Winkleman.

Comedy fans may remember Sophie as Big Suze in Peep Show, which saw Sophie appear on the show for 10 episodes. The 44-year-old actress is also married to Lord Frederick Windsor, who is the son of Prince and Princess Michael of Kent. Prince Michael Kent was the first cousin of the late Queen Elizabeth II.
Sophie married Lord Frederick at Hampton Court Palace in September 2009, and although she was entitled to be named Lady Frederick Windsor through her marriage, she continues to use her own name for her professional career. The couple have two children together.
In an interview with Tatler magazine in February of last year however, the actress revealed that she and her half-sister Claudia lived "very separate lives". She said: "We had very separate lives as kids: Claudia lived with her mum and she's nine years older than me."
Outside of family life, Claudia has revealed her obsession for one superfood, which reportedly has the ability to lower cholesterol and reduce chances of heart disease. While chatting to Mark Wogan on a recent episode of his Virgin Radio podcast - Spooning with Mark Wogan, Claudia revealed her love of avocados, admitting that it is one of the only fruits that she eats and that she is "mad" for them.
On the podcast, she said: "I don't like fruit in anything savoury, I won't have it. I'm not interested in fruit. If you said to me 'Claude, bad news, we've lost all the fruit', I'd be like 'okay'. I think I had a cherry that I quite enjoyed once but that's it, but no fruit's not my bag, I like a potato."
According to Healthline, eating avocados can lower the amount of 'bad' cholesterol in the body and increase the levels of 'good' cholesterol, however they did emphasise that more studies are required to paint a clearer picture. However, avocados do not just help lower cholesterol as the superfood provides several other benefits to our health. The fruit is filled with nutrients, it's densely packed with healthy fats, protein and even vitamins and minerals that are lacking in many people's diets.
The Traitors' third episode will be aired at 9pm on BBC and BBC iPlayer on Friday evening, January 3.
