The Traitors' Charlotte sends defiant message to fans as show enters final week
The Traitors' Charlotte has sent a defiant message to the show's fans as the third series enters its final week. On Instagram, the Faithful-turned-Traitor told her followers that the "hunger to win is real".
It has been a rollercoaster of a journey for the 32-year-old business director, who entered the psychological adventure game show with a fake Welsh accent as part of her game plan. While her mother is from Abergavenny, Charlotte was actually born and bred in London.
According to the contestant, adopting the fake accent was her attempt at making her "more trustworthy" amongst fellow contenders. While some fans have found the game plan as a "hilariously unnecessary lie", it has seemingly worked well for the business director so far, with neither translator Elen or former army officer Leanne - who are both from north Wales, noticing that Charlotte's Abergavenny accent is fake. With the third series now entering its final week, Charlotte could be within the chance to win up to £120k. At the end of episode seven, after the second Traitor - Linda, was successfully banished by the Faithfuls, Minah gave Charlotte an ultimatum - either be 'murdered' as a Faithful or join her as a Traitor.
With Charlotte choosing the latter option, fans have been surprised and impressed by the Faithful-turned-Traitors quiet confidence in the series thus far, with viewers wondering if Charlotte might be secretly plotting against her fellow Traitor, Minah.
On Instagram, Charlotte posted a montage of her time in the castle, mostly of her eating, but her humour might have a double meaning - she is a Traitor after all! The caption of the post said: "The accent might be fake but the hunger to win is real". In response, many fans had their say in the comments. One viewer said: "Imagine if we all laughed at the fake accent then she wins it all!"
Meanwhile, another fan remarked: "I'm convinced you're going to win. You are the most powerful one in the game so the only person you need to be careful of is yourself really. I’ll be very happy if you do win!" Another viewer said: "At first I thought your plan with the Welsh accent was a terrible idea... But definitely pulling it off and everyone trusts you, even Minah... You can SO win this... Can't wait for this weeks eps".
