A TikToker has ranked her favourite to least favourite Gavin & Stacey characters. But not everyone was happy with the ranking, with one fan saying it was "criminal".

On Christmas Day more than 12m viewers tuned in to watch Gavin & Stacey: The Finale. It was the last ever episode of the series that has been on our screens and in our hearts for nearly two decades.

The last time we saw the Shipman and West families was back in 2019 in another Christmas special when Nessa, played by Ruth Jones, professed her love to Smithy (played by James Corden) and got down on one knee to ask him to marry her despite Smithy being in a relationship with Aikman's character Sonia.

But the final ever episode confirmed that Smithy had left Nessa high and dry following the proposal and continued with his plans to marry Sonia. For the latest TV and showbiz news sign up to our newsletter.

Amid the Gavin & Stacey hype following the last ever episode of the hit BBC sitcom, many have shared their favourite moments and favourite characters of the show. One TikToker, named lucy.juice, revealed where she ranked the characters - from God tier to the worst.

On the top - the God tier, the TikToker placed Uncle Bryn (Rob Brydon), Smithy (James Corden) and Pam (played by Alison Steadman). "Love Bryn," she said. "He's always in everyone's business, which I love. Great one liners".

Meanwhile, she said that Smithy was the "king of the show", while Pam was "so funny". In the next tier, which was the great tier, the TikToker listed Rudi (played by Sheridan Smith), Gwen (played by Melanie Walters), Gavin (played by Mathew Horne) and Neil The Baby (played by Oscar Hartland), who she said "made the 2019 Christmas Special".

She then placed Mick (played by Larry Lamb), Nessa (played by Ruth Jones), Pete (played by Adrian Scarborough) and Dawn (played by Julia Davis) in the good tier. When talking about Nessa, she said: "She's good, she's sort of funny, bit quirky. I don't hate her".

In the average tier, she placed Doris (played by the late Margaret John), Nessa's dad Neil (played by Huw Dafydd), Jason (played by Jason Wilfort) and Stacey (played by Joanna Page). In regards to Doris, she said that she "didn't really like her", and described her as "cringey". Meanwhile, she described Stacey as a "bit of a brat".

In the worst tier, she placed Sonia (played by Laura Aikman), Dave Coaches (played by Steffan Rhodri) and Smithy's mum Cath (played by Pam Ferris). When discussing her decision, she explained that she had "always hated Dave" and that he was "horrible to Smithy".

But not everyone was pleased with the tier list, one Tiktoker said it was an "awful list", while another remarked: "Nessa not being in god tier is awful but to put her in the middle tier is a crime". Another TikToker shared the same sentiment and said: "Nessa in the middle is criminal".

But others did agree with the TikToker. One responded with: "Always hated Dave from the minute he didn’t shake smithy’s hand at the barn dance". Another TikToker said: "Completely agree with that top 3! but why is Gwen in great, she’s not funny much? No hate just wondering". While one TikToker remarked: "The thing about this show is every character is god tier. But putting nes, doris and mick above rudy is a crime".
