It’s a shame that a drink as delicious as red wine has one small hitch: Making your teeth go an unsavoury blue.

And actually, there’s one other for wine in general – if you’re wearing lipstick, half of it ends up on the rim anyway.

So thankfully, a wine glass has been invented which makes us suffer from neither problem.

Wine paraphernalia seller Oenophilia has created a set of glasses with inbuilt straws, and look edgy enough to put in your glasses cabinet.

It’s not just a wacky modern design, either – Oenophilia claims the hand-blown serving accoutrements “date back to 17th century Europe, where they were known as Schnapps Pfeiffen”.

They’re only $12 (around £9.70) too.
