Ever tried gingerbread-infused gin? No? You haven’t lived.

But besides this, there’s also the old-fashioned option of simply eating gingerbread and drinking gin in the same sitting.

Which one hotel in Cambridge is determined to take up a notch in the classiest way possible. Quite literally – as they’re running a gin-and-gingerbread master class.

According to Cambridge News, the Varsity Hotel & Spa has teamed up with an artisan cake maker called Fiona McDuff and nearby gin specialist Tom Arnold to create the lesson, which will have you learning everything about gin while making teeny gingerbread houses.

Oh, and you’ll be sampling all of the hotel bar and brasserie’s (SIX) gins, of course.

Sure, it’s a little random, but it also sounds right up our street.

It’ll take place at the hotel’s panoramic bar so that you can soak up that Cambridge skyline at 360 degrees – from St John’s College and Midsummer Common to the punts going down the River Cam – while you’re at it too.

And if you think that gingerbread won’t fill you up as you’re drinking all that gin, you’ll also have the option of a two-course meal to have after the hour-long session while your gingerbread houses set.
