Strictly's Wynne Evans breaks cover as he takes time off from BBC role after 'inappropriate' remark
Strictly Come Dancing's Wynne Evans has been pictured as it's been revealed that he is taking a break from his BBC Radio Wales show. Wynne has been seen out in Liverpool with Katya Jones on Monday 27 January, following his apology for an "unacceptable" remark he made at the Strictly tour launch.
Wynne and Katya were seen bundled up from the cold weather as he donned a black padded jacket and black sunglasses as they took a stroll, on Wynne's 53rd birthday. The Welsh tenor usually hosts a weekday morning music and chat show on the BBC station, but broadcaster Robin Morgan sat in for him on Monday during the 9am to midday slot. It is understood that Morgan will continue to present in Wynne's place during his absence.
A spokesperson for BBC Wales said: "Wynne is taking some time off from his show on Radio Wales. Robin Morgan will be presenting in his place."

The news follows Wynne's recent apology for making an "inappropriate and unacceptable" comment at the Strictly live tour launch this month. The star, famed for his Go. Compare ads, has been part of the touring cast after his stint on the BBC One dance competition with partner Katya last year.
The Mail On Sunday reported that Wynne made the offensive remark to a woman in a video captured at the event on 16 January. Tour producers have issued him a warning about the incident.
Wynne has apologised, saying: "My language was inappropriate and unacceptable for which I sincerely apologise." A spokesman for the Strictly live tour and BBC Studios said: “We were not previously aware of the remark and did not receive any complaints. We have made it very clear to Wynne that we do not tolerate such behaviour on the tour.”
Wynne missed dancing on the tour in Glasgow on Saturday due to an ankle injury, but he did sing. Katya took to her Instagram story on Sunday to share a series of videos showing the opera singer and radio presenter back in action, dancing.
The Strictly tour is set to dazzle audiences next at the M&S Bank Arena Liverpool on Tuesday and Wednesday, before moving on to the First Direct Arena Leeds on Thursday and Friday.
Last year, Wynne and Katya had to say sorry for a "joke" during the BBC show that saw her move his hand away from her waist. In another moment, Katya seemed reluctant to high-five Wynne, which they later explained was "a running joke".
