Strictly’s Pete Wicks ‘fears he may die alone’ as he admits he’s ‘not ready to commit to relationship’
Pete Wicks has candidly opened up about his dating life, admitting he isn't ready to "commit to a relationship" despite knowing he wants to settle down and have children. The TOWIE star, 36, has had a chequered love life and is yet to find long-lasting love. In the past, Pete has dated the likes of Megan McKenna, Shelby Tribble and Chloe Sims, and most recently sparked romance rumours with ex-Love Island star Maura Higgins.
However, Pete isn't quite ready to find The One. Speaking to Times Magazine, he said: "I'm nearly 36. I want to get married and have kids. I've been blessed with so many opportunities, but what's the point if I can't share them with anyone? Right now, I'm not ready to wholeheartedly commit to a romantic relationship because I don't fully understand myself yet. I would love to find a wife, but you know what? I may end up one of those men who dies alone."
Pete was first linked to Maura, 32, back in August, after pictures emerged of the two smooching outside a London hotel. One witness explained that Pete arrived at the venue an hour after Maura, who had been enjoying the hotel’s terrace with a group of pals.

They told The Sun: "After they’d sat there for a while Maura went in for a long kiss with Pete. It wasn’t the kind of kiss you’d give a friend, it was very passionate." They added: "They were all over each other. They looked totally in love and weren’t trying to hide it from anyone." Neither Pete nor Maura have confirmed or denied the romance rumours.
Maura has also shared her support for Pete's latest venture - Strictly Come Dancing. He is one of the celebrities set to take to the dance floor on this year's series, which will kick off in September. He will compete against the likes of Tasha Ghouri, Sam Quek, JB Gill, Wynne Evans and Toyah Willcox on the BBC One show.
When the Strictly Come Dancing official Instagram page shared the news of Pete's casting, many flocked to share their support for the TOWIE favourite. Among the commenters was Maura, who had a very cheeky response, sparking romance rumours once again.
The account penned: "The only way is #Strictly for @p_wicks01! We can’t wait to see what he brings to the Ballroom!" to which Maura then responded: "I know what those hips can do. PROUD OF YOU!!!!!!!!"
