So first up: Selfridges doesn't technically take part in Black Friday. Instead, the iconic department runs a sale during the Black Friday period, offering great discounts across some of our favourite luxury brands. This year will hopefully be no different, and, as ever, it's well worth checking out before the best pieces fly off the shelves.
Selfridges used to be famous for its in-store sales, with queues snaking around the block from as early as 7am, but these days we'd much rather check out the Black Friday deals online. There's no need to battle the crowds, and there's definitely a better chance of finding your size. Designer discount shopping has never been so easy.
What was the Selfridges Black Friday discount last year?
Wondering what to expect from Selfridges this Black Friday? Well, if 2024 is anything like last year you can expect up to 20% off Whistles, 30% off AllSaints, up to 20% off ghd, up to 30% off Monica Vinader and more.
Up until recently, the brand used to offer a discount code with up to 20% off the likes of womenswear and shoes, and up to 10% off beauty. But, in 2022, Selfridges opted to run 'clearance' offers across all departments instead, meaning you could get up to 40% off.

When is the Selfridges Black Friday sale 2024?
Black Friday always falls on the fourth Friday of November – which this year is Friday, 29 November. No official Selfridges Black Friday sale has been announced, but there are some amazing designer bargains to be hunted out in the clearance section.
What is discounted in the Selfridges Black Friday sale?
In the past, Selfridges used to give customers 20% off new season designer and high street fashion during Black Friday, as well as bags and homeware, using a discount code. Beauty was usually discounted by 10% too. But in previous years, it opted to run clearance sales across all categories instead, with up to 40% off available.
