The highly anticipated third season of The White Lotus has had us absorbed in the lives of yet another unconventional group of the ultra rich as they descend on a luxury resort on the island of Koh Samui. Granted, it might sound like a slightly unrelatable set of storylines, and sometimes even a rather unlikeable cast of individuals, but there are elements that we find ourselves drawn to season after season, and the show's fashion is undeniably one of them.
Last season we were entertained by Portia's jumbled if not slightly migraine-inducing ensembles, while Tanya's equally loud yet aspirational wardrobe and Harper's array of sleek two-pieces embodied the opposing sartorial spectrums of the nouveau riche.
This season, the tropical climate requires a slightly more fluid approach to dressing than that seen along the Italian coast. Curated by Alex Bovaird, the costume designer for all three seasons of the show so far, the wardrobes of the cast centre around bright colours, bold prints and breezy silhouettes, embracing the atmosphere of the island in a way that almost absorbs the background into the outfits.
Although wealth is very much on display for guests of The White Lotus, Bovaird notes that there's a real high-low mix of pieces which she sourced for the show. Speaking to Bazaar, she explained: "There are things in the show that probably cost a dollar, and there are things that cost twenty grand and there’s over a million dollars’ worth of jewellery that we borrowed."

The crochet dress
There's nothing that signals the start of a sunny holiday quite like slipping into a crochet dress. Chelsea arrives at the resort sporting this knitted design from My Beachy Side, featuring circular vegan leather panels along its bodice with a halter-neck and cut-out detailing.

For styling, her character leans into gold, accessorising with an engraved 'Stay Gold' pendant necklace from Luna Flo London, an assortment of gold rings and a pair of platform espadrilles with chunky chain detailing by JW Anderson.

The leopard-print sunnies
One would be left feeling bereft without a pair of statement sunglasses to don while sunning themselves abroad. Chelsea has her packing priorities in order, sporting a leopard-print style of Jacquemus' Ovalo sunglasses in multiple scenes throughout the first episode.

The Sixties cat-eye style will add a touch of personality to your outfit, but if leopard print isn't your thing, there are a number of more minimal colour-ways available.

The arrival outfit
Parker Posey's character Victoria gives us inspiration for airport dressing with a twist on 'old money' styling, tying a silk scarf around her shoulders while carrying a Gucci Bamboo 1947 bag on one arm, which coincidentally or not, match the blue and white hues of her husband's ensemble.

The leather goods
Kate, Jaclyn and Laurie form a lavish display of wealth through their rich lifestyle and unsurprisingly, through their selection of accessories. In this scene, Laurie carries a Loewe Squeeze bag under her arm, tucked away save for the recognisable leather handle and chain.

Jaclyn opts for a more obvious display of her wealth, holding a pair of vintage Chanel monogrammed sandals in one hand, with a white Valentino Garavani Moon bag perched on her arm. But its Kate that subtly incorporates the biggest 'quiet luxury' coup in her outfits, with a double stacked Cartier Love bracelet on her wrist.

The emerald kaftan
What's a tropical holiday without a kaftan or two? Belinda has exhibited a covetable array of floating designs in the season thus far, and this jewel-toned hand-draped kaftan by Verandah has to be one of our favourites, featuring a paisley pattern on an emerald silk fabric.

The designer swim ensemble
Going off the first episode alone, it's safe to say that Jaclyn is a fan of Valentino. For her day spent poolside, the character slips into a fuchsia pink swimsuit from the brand, featuring a gold 'V' detailing at the centre of its neckline. She styles the piece with a black and white linen cover-up with an illustrated panther design, also by Valentino.

The red dress
Kate offers up an enviable ensemble in episode one, heading to dinner in a one-shoulder red pleated dress. The tiered mini from Lanvin features a gold brooch at the shoulder and a floating silhouette, which she wears with a pair of metallic peep-toe heeled sandals.

The zebra-print bag
