We've loved watching the latest batch of contestants on the most recent series of The Great British Sewing Bee – and now they've shared their favourite ever sewing projects.

The amateur sewers have been battling it out each week to be crowned this year's Sewing Bee winner, as judged by Patrick Grant and Esme Young. And in a sweet post of the Sewing Bee Instagram page, they've shared their favourite makes of all time.

Each sewer from the latest series was given the opportunity to share the make that means the most to them. Many sewers had sentimental reasons why they loved the particular project, or felt that the design particularly complemented their style and body shape.

Pascha, who won Garment of the Week this week, shared a photo of her in a ball dress, and explained: "What I'm wearing here is my 18th century ball gown. Most activities that one can do would be improved by wearing a ball gown".

Alex explained why her chosen outfit, an orange two piece suit, meant so much to her. She said: "This outfit is the outfit that I am most proud of. It was the moment where I realised how powerful it can feel to sew something that fits you and just feels great."

Suzy talked through her oversized gingham dress, explaining: "So this is one of my favourite dresses I've ever made.

"I wore it the morning after we got engaged. As you might be able to tell, it was very Carrie Bradshaw inspired for a trip to New York".

Other favourite makes included Don's caterpillar costume he made for his wife for World Book Day, Luke's first self-drafted playsuit in a lemon fabric, and Ailsa's favourite zero-waste two piece outfit.

We can't wait to see what the sewers make in the rest of the competition!

The Great British Sewing Bee is on Tuesdays at 9pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
