Made in Chelsea alum Sam Thompson, 31 and former Love Island star Zara McDermott, 27, are reportedly having ‘relationship crisis talks’ after she moved out following a blazing row.

A few days after the alleged falling out, Sam was seen in tears at the TRIC Awards, while best pal and TOWIE star Pete Wicks held and consoled him.

A source claimed Sam was left ‘distraught’ after a huge bust-up at their London flat, and they are now trying to patch things up.

“Since Christmas Zara and Sam have been really busy with work and have had little quality time to see each other and as a result their relationship has suffered,” a source told The Sun.

“They’ve both wanted to make the most of their careers and say yes to all the exciting opportunities offered to them.

“Last weekend it came to a head and they had a big row. It was very upsetting and they needed some time to let the dust settle."

After, Zara headed off to Majorca for a modelling job, but has since returned home, according to the source, who says the couple are “trying to iron out their differences and have crisis talks.” They claim the pair ‘really want to make the relationship work’.

OK! has contacted representatives of Sam Thompson and Zara McDermott for comment.

It comes after Zara ‘shut down’ rumours the two were having an argument at the Soccer Aid afterparty in London. The former Strictly Come Dancing star was pictured pointing her finger at Sam, as they appeared to be in a row. However, she later insisted she was giving him a passionate pep talk.

“It looks like we are having an argument but I’m telling him positive affirmations in a very passionate manner,” she said.

The pair started dating in 2019, although they briefly split when Zara cheated on Sam with a music label boss she met during her time on X Factor: Celebrity, where she formed a band with fellow Love Island contestants, Samira Mighty, Eyal Booker and Wes Nelson.

The emotional scenes played out on E4 reality show Made in Chelsea as Zara begged Sam to take her back in tears on the park bench.

In December 2020, the pair got back together, as Sam told MailOnline at the time: “I believe in forgiveness. I understand the context – and I think in any walk of life you can't move forward unless you forgive.”
