Rylan Clark has excitedly shared that he's reunited with his "work husband" Rob Rinder following the success of their BBC travel series. The dynamic duo, who have faced rumours about the nature of their relationship, maintain they're nothing more than close friends.

On Friday afternoon, the beloved This Morning presenter, 35, took to Instagram to update his whopping 2.2 million followers about reuniting with 46 year old Rob, though he didn't mention what they were up to.

Rylan posted an adorable selfie to his stories showing the pair grinning widely, captioning it: "With the work husband," and made sure to tag his dear friend.

The charming three-part series featured Rylan and Rob exploring Italy in homage to poet Lord Byron on the bicentenary of his passing. In anticipation of the premiere, Rylan expressed his joy on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, writing: "Tonight our new show starts at 9pm on BBC Two and iPlayer. It was so special. This man has become family to me because of this experience. It really is a show like no other and we're so proud of it. Hope you enjoy."

Rob playfully stirred the pot regarding the whispers of a romance by replying: "Friendship may and often does, grow into love.' Byron .. See you alongside him 9pm tonight @BBCTwo," reports the Express.

Rylan and Rob sparked romance speculation last month when they made a joint appearance on the BAFTA TV Awards red carpet.

Rylan went on to address the romance rumours, as he hit out on social media in a bid to protect his mum Linda. Taking to X, the former X Factor star said: "To the journalist that just doorstepped my mum at her house, as polite as you were, please don’t.

"She said you were a lovely man but she’s 71 years old and it makes me feel slightly uncomfortable. The answer is no. I’m not dating Rob Rinder; he’s one of my closest friends. Next time tweet me. Thanks."

Discussing his divorce on the BBC programme, Rylan shared with his good pal: "I sunk," and revealed the depth of his struggles, saying, "I tried to end it. Tried to finish myself off."

He also disclosed the impact on his physical health: "I went down to nine stone and I'm 6ft 4in, Rob... I had a breakdown. I was in a really bad way."

But it seems their joint TV venture, 'Rob and Rylan's Grand Tour', has been therapeutic.

Rylan expressed how liberating the experience was, saying: "I have never felt more free than on this trip," and Rob echoed the sentiment, adding, "I felt exactly the same."

Previously, Rylan has spoken about their close relationship to the Sunday Times, humorously describing it: "We do, we love each other. Like a married couple: we row all the time and don't have sex."
