Meghan Markle is said to be 'eager to resolve the feud' with Kate Middleton and has reportedly reached out to her.

Kate made an appearance at Trooping the Colour – the King's official birthday celebration – months after revealing she would be stepping back from public duties due to her cancer diagnosis.

Now, insiders at Closer suggest that Meghan and Prince Harry extended an olive branch to her ahead of the event in an attempt to put an end to their ongoing feud.

This follows Harry's revelations about moments of tension between Kate and Meghan in his explosive memoir Spare, which hit the shelves last year.

The source at Clooser revealed: "Meghan's desperate to appear as the bigger person and put an end to this feud looking like some sort of royal peacemaker could only boost her image."

"And, despite all their past issues, she does feel for Kate - she can only imagine how tough this situation must be for her. Meghan has made it clear she'd love nothing more than to move beyond all the drama and find a path towards healing for everyone involved. She's ready to let go of the anger and resentment."

"Of course, it's not entirely up to her and Harry, all they can do is continue to reach out and extend olive branches."

The insider added that Meghan hopes her sentiments are reaching Kate and that mending the relationship would be a "huge relief" for the Sussexes.

The relationship between Meghan and Kate has reportedly been tense since Harry introduced Meghan to the Royal Family, with tensions escalating in the run-up to Harry and Meghan's wedding in May 2018.

According to Spare, a disagreement over Princess Charlotte's flower girl dress caused a rift between Kate and Meghan.

Harry alleged that a text argument left Meghan 'on the floor sobbing'. The next day, it's reported that Kate sent Meghan flowers and a card to apologise.

The feud between Prince William and Harry reportedly intensified in 2019 when Harry claimed his brother grabbed him by the collar and knocked him to the floor during a heated argument about Meghan.

A year later, Harry and Meghan decided to step back from their Royal duties, trading life in the UK for Montecito, California.
