Royal fans spot lookalike for Harry and Meghan's son Archie as he turns 5 - and it's another royal baby
Prince Archie - the son of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle - is turning five on Monday and royal fans can't help but compare the youngster to one of his regal relatives. While the little one has been kept away from the glare of public scrutiny by his mum and dad, rumour has it they might share a snap of him and his baby sis, Princess Lilibet, on the big day.
In the meantime, royal enthusiasts have noticed something striking. They reckon Archie bears an uncanny resemblance to Princess Eugenie's eldest son, August, who she shares with hubby Jack Brooksbank.
The comparison was made after lovely Eugenie uploaded several snaps of her tribe on Instagram to celebrate Jack's recent birthday. One of those pictures showed Jack and August having some fun in the sun at the beach, doing what all dads do - sticking long bits of seaweed onto his unsuspecting child's head!
As soon as the upload hit the web, one ardent observer piped up and said: "August looks so much like Archie." And it appears they're right - both mini-royals share the same light brown wavy hair and pink-tinged cheeks. A heart-warming stream of well-wishes ensued for Jack and praise towards Eugenie about her beautiful family, reports the Mirror.
Archie entered the world back in 2019 at Portland Hospital in London. Staying true to their desire for privacy, Harry and Meghan opted not to participate in the traditional photo op on the hospital steps that followed Royal births in the past, instead announcing Archie's arrival via Buckingham Palace and a quaint easel bearing the joyful news outside the famous palace.
The Sussexes are known for their privacy, especially when it comes to their children. However, earlier this year, Meghan reportedly hired a photographer to capture some new family photos.
In March, Meghan collaborated with photographer Jake Rosenberg to take pictures of her and her children at their Montecito mansion in California. This extravagant photo shoot is thought to have been timed with the launch of her lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard.
Reports suggest that she had photos taken with her two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. An expert now speculates that one of these photos could be shared on Monday.
Speaking exclusively to The Mirror, PR expert Lynn Carratt from Press Box PR said: "It would be nice to see a picture of Archie released on his birthday. Meghan and Harry often keep their children fairly private these days, even keeping their images off their annual Christmas card."
She further added: "In the first couple of years after Archie was born, there were pictures released on his birthday; however, at that point, there were still part of the monarchy. They have also used their documentaries on TV to show unseen images of Archie and Lilibet, but the pictures shared of their two children are few and far between these days."
Discussing Meghan's choice to hire a particular photographer, Ms Carratt noted: "However, it was reported in March that Meghan had enlisted the photographer Jake Rosenberg to snap some images of the family and the children. They may use one of those pictures to mark Archie's birthday on Monday."
