Princess Eugenie's wedding 'will be bigger' than Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's nuptials
Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank’s wedding is reportedly going to be bigger than Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s big day.
According to The Mail on Sunday, the pair have invited more guests to the ceremony on October 12, at St George’s Chapel in Windsor, than the church actually holds.
The venue has capacity for 800 guests but Princess Eugenie is said to have asked 850, meaning that extra chairs may have to be brought into the chapel.
In comparison, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex invited 600 attendees to their nuptials, held at the same venue on May 19.
Following in their footsteps, Eugenie and Jack have also invited 1,200 members of the public to their wedding.
After the ceremony, the newlyweds will make a short carriage procession to St George’s Hall for the wedding breakfast, hosted by the Queen and the Duke of York. An evening reception will then take place at the family home, Royal Lodge in Windsor Great Park.
Senior members of the royal family are expected to attend on the day, including the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Duke and Duchess of Sussex, as well as a rumoured number of celebrity guests.
While Prince Andrew will be paying for some of Eugenie’s wedding, the British taxpayer will be covering the cost of the security.
