Today, the soon-to-be newlyweds announced that 1,200 members of the public will be able to watch guests arrive at the congregation before having the opportunity to tune into a live broadcast of the ceremony.
Those with a golden ticket will also be invited to watch the bride and groom depart the chapel where the Duke and Duchess of Sussex famously wed on 19 May.
In an Instagram post shared by the royal family’s official Instagram account, it was revealed that in order for the chance to attend fans must fill out an application form.
The couple’s announcement mirrors the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s decision to invite 2,640 members of the public to their wedding.
The newlyweds hand-picked 1,200 young people who had served their communities and shown strong leadership.
While another 200 charity workers and 100 pupils from two local schools also bagged a coveted invite. Remaining tickets were given to 610 Windsor Castle community members as well as 530 members of the royal households and Crown Estate.
