From Town & Country

When Buckingham Palace released a statement on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's newborn this morning, it was clear that the whole royal family-from Queen Elizabeth to Duchess Camilla-was extremely excited about the baby's arrival.

"The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Lady Jane Fellowes, Lady Sarah McCorquodale and Earl Spencer have been informed and are delighted with the news," the letter read. Three names on that list, however, might seem somewhat unfamiliar, even to avowed royal watchers: Lady Jane Fellowes, Lady Sarah McCorquodale, and Earl Spencer.

The trio had a very good reason to be included-and to be excited about the news! They're the siblings of the late Princess Diana, and therefore Prince Harry's aunts and uncle.

Even after Diana passed away, Lady Jane Fellowes, Lady Sarah McCorquodale, and Earl Spencer have continued to be involved in Prince Harry's life. During his royal wedding to Meghan Markle last year, all three were present, and Lady Jane Fellowes even gave a reading during the ceremony.

Prior to the couple's nuptials, the palace released a statement noting, "Prince Harry and Ms. Markle both feel honored that Lady Jane will be representing her family and helping to celebrate the memory of the late Princess on the wedding day."

"Harry has always kept in close touch with the Spencers and they have all received invitations," an unnamed source told Vanity Fair. "Harry gets on well with his aunts and uncle and they have met Meghan."
