Pregnant Emily Atack shows off baby bump on loved-up stroll with boyfriend Dr Alistair Garner
Pregnant Emily Atack has been spotted on a romantic stroll with her boyfriend, Dr Alistair Garner, as they prepare to welcome their first child.
The couple held hands as they walked through London on Friday, 5 April, while 34 year old Emily, who is seven months pregnant with a baby boy, showcased her blossoming bump in a figure-hugging khaki green top. She teamed it with blue jeans and layered the look with a long black wool coat.
Meanwhile, nuclear scientist Alistair debuted a short new hair do, having previously been spotted out with The Inbetweeners star in September with long locks flowing down to his jawline.
Emily was first seen in public with boyfriend Alistair in September last year. However, the pair were friends for years before the relationship, as Alistair is the son of her late uncle – Dr Stephen Garner – who married Emily’s aunt Jane Robbins in 1994.
An insider said: “Emily and Alistair consider themselves more family friends but they are cousins who aren’t related by blood. They grew up together and have always got on really well, but last year they started to get closer.
“It has been a really natural evolution of their friendship and they both have strong feelings for each other.
“Emily and Alistair were thrilled when they found out they were expecting and are really looking forward to becoming parents. Their respective families are totally supportive and have told them they think they’re a lovely couple."
The photos come after Emily appeared on BBC Breakfast last month and revealed the gender of her baby.
Emily admitted: "I'm six months pregnant and I wasn't going to say this, but, I am going to say this... I'm having a baby boy."
Recently sharing how she has found her first pregnancy, the comedian admitted that it hasn't been smooth sailing. She said while appearing on Loose Women: "It’s not a barrel of laughs is it?! It’s so exciting, it’s very, very hard but I feel extremely connected to my body in ways that I’ve never been before.
"I used to get told off by my friends for not looking after myself enough and staying up too late and all of that and now I’m like, ‘No, my body is a vessel’. It’s so important that I get an early night and I’m really looking after myself."
Emily added that she's got "every single symptom" that comes with pregnancy. "I’ve had a blow up, not a glow up! Everyone’s saying, ‘Oh you’re going to be in your glow up era, you’ll be in the gym doing pilates’ [but] I’m like a hen sitting on an egg! I haven’t moved. No, it’s incredible, it’s amazing and I’m so excited."
