Pregnant Brittany Mahomes Goes Into 'Superhuman Mode' with Third Trimester Workout

Brittany Mahomes is going into "superhuman mode" during a workout as she prepares to welcome baby number three.

On Monday, Dec. 16, the Kansas City Current co-owner, 29, shared a few posts to her Instagram Stories showing what her gym routine looks like as she enters her third trimester of pregnancy with her third baby, a girl.

In one video, she poses for a mirror selfie in a purple matching bra and legging set from Vitality, showing off her bump and writing over the video: "Feeling very pregnant 😂."

In another repost from her fitness trainer, Kirsty Rae, Mahomes can be seen working out. She does some lunges, squats and light weightlifting. In her caption over the video, Rae reflected on what working out can be like for pregnant women in the third trimester.

"Third trimester's my fave stage of pregnancy when it comes to training," Rae wrote. "There's studies that show your body basically goes into superhuman mode to prepare for child birth."

"So badass," she adds.

Mahomes has previously shown off what her workouts look like during pregnancy. On Dec. 4, she could be seen in another one of Rae's Instagram videos doing under-bar pull-ups and lat pull-downs, as Kendrick Lamar’s “Squabble Up” plays in the background.

Rae shared her excitement about how strong Brittany's technique was, as she included the caption, “Back injury whoooooo?!” as well as “strong mama,” and a fire emoji.

Mahomes also hit the gym on Friday, Nov. 22, posting a video on her Instagram Stories of herself doing squats while exposing her baby bump in workout gear.

Mahomes and her Chiefs quarterback husband Patrick Mahomes announced her pregnancy back in July, sharing a video on Instagram of themselves and their daughter Sterling Skye, 3, and son Patrick "Bronze" Lavon Mahomes III, 2, posing for a family photo shoot. "Round three, here we come 🤍," they captioned the announcement.

Earlier this month, Mahomes shared some sweet maternity photos to Instagram. In the black-and-white pictures, she could be seen posing from the side and cradling her belly as she wore a long black maxi skirt and matching long-sleeve black shirt. She placed her hands above and belly her stomach as her photo was taken.

The expectant mom of two accessorized with a silver bangle and wore her hair half-up and half-down, smiling in one photo. "Baby girl🥹🤍," she wrote in her caption.

She also shared photos of herself and Patrick posing with her bump in some fall-inspired maternity photos in a Dec. 4 Instagram post. The married couple could be seen holding hands as they walked through the woods. Mahomes cradled her belly with her other hand. She sported a dark green sweater dress underneath a white long-sleeve cropped sweater that sat on her baby bump.

“Always loving you🤍,” Mahomes simply captioned the post.
