Christie Brinkley is nailing the island aesthetic, having the time of her life while lounging under a driftwood cabana in her bikini. I mean...wouldn't we all. Truly living the dream!
Christie, 68, showed off her toned core and legs in her tiny string bikini, too. And she looks so strong and happy.
'🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 Absolutely gorgeous!!! 🤩🤩🤩😍😍😍🔥🔥🔥,' wrote one fan. And another added, 'WOWIE Christie! You look 👀 fabulous and that wonderful smile of yours captured my heart since my younger days! Thank you 🙏 for being inspirational to the masses!' Aw!
Christie has been treating her followers to lots of pictures of her living it up in Turks in Caicos.
She showed off her toned legs in this little boat photoshoot, captioning the three photos of herself: 'Three Marys 3 Christies 🏝🏝🏝The 3 Marys is one of my favourite spots in #turksandcaicosislands.'
'You know all the #hotspots !' makeup artist Sandy Linter commented, which seems true! Christie, if you’re looking for a travel buddy, let a girl know.
It’s great to see Christie out and about, enjoying life after her hip replacement last year. The surgery aimed to fix an injury from more than 20 years prior that she got while in a skiing helicopter crash, she told The Cut.
'It was really depressing so I thought, you know what, I'm going to start to whittle away at it. I'm going to do whatever it takes,' she told Dr. Oz at the time. 'I'm going to start to whittle away at this and I thought the hip is what scares me the most. Let me check in on the hip.'
She's known she would have to replace her hip eventually, and added that 'the pain in my hip got a little bit worse each year.' But for a while, it seemed too 'daunting,' per People.
Christie celebrated her fixed hip with a sexy snap in early 2021, adding 'I am getting stronger every day, and I like think I’m ready for anything...a hike, swim dive, paddle, ride, ski, and even a big piece of birthday cake! Hey, I can work it off! ⛹️♀️🤾♀️🧘🏼♀️🏄🏼♀️🚣🚴🏼♀️⛷🛼⛸🏓🛷.'
She’s definitely kept up on her promise to stay active! For one, Christie loves to ride her turquoise bike. 'If you don’t ride the bike it will rust. Same thing with your body! You’ve got to move it! Move it!' she wrote in an IG caption.
And she isn’t afraid of a tough workout. Christie previously told Women’s Health US that she is a big fan of cycling. 'I love spin instructors,' she told Women’s Health US. 'Yeah, sometimes you need a little drill sergeant to inspire you and keep you going.'
She basically does it all—walks, runs, swims—and she even has a special hack for anyone who is not totally feeling a workout.
'I noticed that the second you do any activity and you add your arms as though you’re dancing, it revs you up,' she told The Cut. 'Whether it’s walking down the beach and moving your arms like you’re swimming, or picking up rocks and walking with them, you really start sweating and breathing heavily. The second you try to adjust those teeny changes, they make a huge difference.'
Mental note: try to dance while doing my squats later! Thanks, Christie!
