Peter Andre's baby girl already has a nickname – and the singer says it's 'perfect'
Peter Andre and his wife Emily MacDonagh have finally announced the name of their new baby girl – a month after she was born.
The couple became proud parents again after welcoming their newest child into the world on Tuesday 2 April – a beautiful daughter weighing 7lb 3oz.
The singer has now confirmed his doctor wife, 34, has chosen the name for their newest arrival, calling her Arabella Rose Andrea.
Pop star Peter, 51, finally announced the little one’s name on Instagram on Thursday morning as he wrote: “I think you’ve chosen a beautiful name @dr_emily_offi cial. Arabella Rose Andrea.
“I LOVE it. and I love her… and you of course.”
And since Peter announced his baby girl’s gorgeous name, it seems that she already has a nickname – Bella.
One fan replied to Peter on Instagram: “A name I suggested to you both, such a beautiful name. Little Bella. Perfect.” And the proud dad seems to be on board with the nickname as he replied: “It’s perfect.”
Other fans also chimed in to note that little Arabella might be called Bella for short.
One wrote: “Beautiful name! She is definitely a little Bella”, while another said: “She will get Bella for short and I love it. X.”
It also appears that the 'Rose' part of the tot's name relates to her big sister Millie, 10, as it was her name for the first few weeks of her life. Peter and Emily later decided against it as it "didn't suit her".
Peter previously told OK!: "Millie didn't get her name for the first six weeks of her life, as we started with Rose before settling on Millie."
The pair are already parents to seven-year-old son Theo, and daughter Amelia, 10. Peter is also dad to 18-year-old son Junior and daughter Princess, 16, with his ex-wife, Katie Price.
The couple’s third child was born on 2 April and Peter has been open with his fans about their struggle to decide on a name.
Announcing his daughter’s arrival last month, Peter wrote on Instagram: “Baby has been spoilt with cuddles from Junior, Princess, Amelia and Theo who are all in love with their new little sister. As parents, we couldn’t be happier.
“Only thing is… She has no name yet. Help!”
He updated followers weeks later, writing: “The love I have for our baby is one thing. The love I have for Emily is another love altogether.
“What an incredible mum she is and what a truly beautiful gift she has given us. We all love bubba so much. And she STILL has no name.”
