Peter Andre reveals special link to Princess Beatrice's new baby daughter Athena
Peter Andre's (second) favourite baby name made headlines this week when a the royal family welcomed a new baby girl - and he's thrilled by the nod to his Greek roots. In his exclusive OK! column this week the Mysterious Girl singer also talks love, making babies, and the much-anticipated new Boyzone documentary, which reveals their early difficult days as teenage heartthrobs to millions.
The dad of five also explains why he's a bit of a "wimp" when it comes to medical issues, following his comments last week about whether or not he would definitively rule out having any more children with wife Emily MacDonough by having a vasectomy. Speaking of Emily, Pete also spills the beans on how he brings the romance home...
Baby joy
Congratulations to Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi on the birth of their second daughter. I love that they called their baby Athena.

That was actually one of our top contenders for Arabella – it was one of my favourites. Obviously, Athens is the capital of Greece so, being Greek, I think it’s a great name.
Eternal love
I like to think of myself as a romantic but I’m working on Valentine’s Day this year so we’ll make up for it another time. However, I don’t think I should wait for Valentine's Day to be romantic.
Sometimes I’ll pick up some flowers for Emily on my way home or bring her something from my travels because I think it’s nice to make an effort all year round. But having a special day also means we can remember all the people we love, near and far.
Up close and personal
I appeared on Loose Women last week to promote the Frankie Valli tour and one of the topics we discussed is whether a man should get a vasectomy. Having children is a big decision.
We frequently expect the woman to have to find a way and take measures not to become pregnant, but actually I realise that us men have a responsibility too. The problem is, like many, I’m a bit scared of having that kind of procedure. I know, call me a wimp. Who knows? Never say never, I guess.
The Boyz are back in town!
I saw the trailer for the Boyzone: No Matter What documentary. They’re a really good bunch of guys and we’ve worked together many times. It was harsh to hear what happened to them during their time as a boyband.
They had a lot of success but there were also a lot of trials and tribulations.
And the Oscar goes to…
I think we all love a bit of the Oscars and I remember watching the ceremony back in the 1980sand 90s. It’ll be interesting to see who wins this year. I think Wicked will do well and maybe sweep the board.
My kids loved Inside Out 2, which is nominated for Best Animated Film. I think it resonated with a lot of audiences because it’s all about talking openly about feelings and emotions. Good luck to all nominated.
