Peter and Abbey Clancy soak up the rays on swish £2000 a night Italian getaway

Abbey Clancy and her husband Peter Crouch looked loved up as they headed to Italy for a romantic summer holiday. The pair escaped the rainy UK weather for a sun-soaked holiday in Taormina, Sicily where they stayed at the San Domenico Palace.

In snaps uploaded to Instagram 38 year old Abbey gave her followers a peek inside the lavish trip as she and Peter took in the stunning sights on a yacht before embracing the Italian cuisine and tucking into some pizza.

For the romantic getaway, the duo opted for the five-star hotel San Domenico Palace which has its own sea-view cliff top infinity pool and beautiful Italian gardens. With rooms starting from £2,000 a night, the hotel also has views of Mount Etna and the Ionian Sea.

In one photo, Abbey and 43 year old Peter, who have been married for 13 years, looked sensational as they posed for a snap while exploring the Sicilian coast.

In the snap they posed in front of a cliff top and the crystal clear sea, with Abbey wowed in a white bikini and teal coloured sarong. To finish off the look the model wore a green baseball cap and a pair of round sunglasses.

Peter meanwhile opted for a pair of orange and blue swimming trunks which he paired with some wayfarer sunglasses.

In another photo, the pair looked equally as dazzling as they posed for a picture from the cliff top, while Abbey shared a risque solo snap of herself looking out to sea.

In response to the carousel of images, Abbey’s followers were quick to flood the comments section with messages of support as they praised the couple. “The bum!,” wrote Lisa Snowdon alongside a series of emojis.

“You two,” responded Carol Vorderman alongside two heart emojis. “Gorgeous,” added Suzie Wells.

The pair’s trip comes after former footballer Peter opened up about his relationship with Abbey and revealed that he’d once been kicked out of bed following an argument, though he claimed that he “didn’t do anything wrong”.

However, Abbey then discredited his claims and stated how she “hates sleeping on my own” and therefore wouldn’t kick him out of the bed.

“Even if we’re not talking, I’d prefer Peter to be in bed with me because I don’t like sleeping on my own,” she said. “Pete punishes me in a different way by putting on the pyjamas… which is just pathetic.”
