Perrie Edwards shares adorable videos of toddler son Axel on family holiday
Little Mix star turned solo artist Perrie Edwards has delighted fans after sharing adorable new videos of her son Axel, two. The singer took to her Instagram stories to answer a fan Q&A as she enjoyed soaking up some sunshine on a family holiday with fiancé Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and their little boy.
After a fan asked if Perrie gets to see Alex a lot due to his busy footballing schedule, she shared a heartwarming video of little Axel dancing with his dad to her new single Tears. She captioned the clip: "It's always quality over quantity," followed by an adoring eyes emoji.
Perrie, 30, then spoiled fans with another sweet video of her son as she asked him if he prefers an ice lolly or ice cream. The tot let out a cute sneeze before excitedly exclaiming: "Ice lolly." The star then reposted a message from a fan onto her story which read: "Axel is a big boy now Mama omg."
Gushing about her family holiday, Perrie explained that it was a rare chance to see her football star partner who plays for Süper Lig club Beşiktaş in Turkey.
Speaking to the camera she said: "I'm currently on holiday, this is the one opportunity every year that me and Alex get to come on holiday together because of his football break. So if we don't come away this time of year we don't get time together."
It comes as Perrie previously revealed she has never lived with Alex, despite the pair being an item for over eight years. The Little Mix singer has opened up about the challenges she and her footballer beau face due to being based in different locations.
Perrie, 30, resides in the UK while Alex, also 30, is currently based in Turkey after signing a three-year deal with Turkish club Besiktas last year. Alex and Perrie are now splitting their time between Cheshire and Istanbul.
Speaking on The Jonathan Ross Show, Perrie admitted the situation is "hard" but she and Alex are determined to "make it work". She then admitted the pair have "never lived together" in a surprising confession.
The mum-of-one said: "I can't lie, it is hard. When he was playing for Liverpool and based in Manchester, it was so easy to do the back and forth but Turkey is a little bit further and he doesn't get a lot of time off. I'm trying to launch a solo career whilst having a two year old so it is a lot to juggle but we make it work for the ones we love don't we?"
She added: "We've never lived together anyway - the whole eight years we've been in a relationship, we've never actually lived together."
