'People next door complain about my simple bathroom habit – it's a nightmare'
Nightmare neighbours can turn your life upside down.
Moving into a new home is an exhilarating experience, but there are certain uncontrollable factors that can transform even the most idyllic of homes into a living nightmare - especially when it comes to your neighbours. You don't need to be best pals with those next door, but most of us will at least maintain a polite relationship. However, being amicable with your neighbours can become challenging when they won't let you live in peace.
One man has claimed his neighbours have been making his life unbearable since he moved in, as they persistently complain about every minor noise he makes. From watching telly to simply walking around and even flushing the loo - his neighbours always find something to grumble about.

In a post on Reddit, the man detailed how he recently moved into a flat with his girlfriend, and the elderly couple who reside below him are "such a nightmare" that he's starting to regret his decision to move in.
He said: "The neighbours are an old couple, and they literally complain over everything. We can't even walk around the house without one of them banging on the ceiling. Apparently, our TV is way too loud when it isn't. We don't have any soundbar or speakers or anything. It's just the TV, but again, it's on quietly.
"They also complain if we flush the toilet at night as apparently it disturbs them. They also complain when we use our washing machine as apparently it rumbles the floor. My girlfriend works in the afternoon while I work 6am-3pm, which means I get up at 4am to get ready for work, and apparently, I'm stomping around and crashing around, which is not true."
The man maintained that the only time he or his girlfriend have actually been noisy was when they were moving in, but everything else has just been "normal household noise". He also claimed his neighbours even complained when his girlfriend was vacuuming, insisting they had been making nose "for ages" when in reality it had been about 10 minutes.
At the end of his post, the man asked for advice as he believes his neighbours are going continue being a "problem" for him. He said he has written to his local council about the situation but has not yet received a response.
Commenters on the post urged him to simply "live his life" without worrying about his neighbours' complaints as he isn't making excessive noise and his neighbours will have to deal with it. One person said: "Live your life at a regular volume. Whatever you do will p**s them off. Learn to laugh at them for the irrational, annoying neighbours they are. In time it will bother you less. Good luck."
And another added: "I think your neighbours are just being difficult. Just ignore them. They will find something new to hyper-fixate on soon enough."
