Paris Fury, wife of heavyweight boxing champ Tyson Fury, has shared a tale from her past that reveals she nearly didn't go down the aisle to become Mrs Fury.

In the lead-up to their big day, Paris recounted how Tyson's bobbing and weaving around the wedding date almost had her throwing in the towel.

Tyson, underestimating the effort of planning a wedding, proposed bringing their date forward after not securing his spot for the 2008 Beijing Olympics. However, Paris was not having any of his antics and countered with a resolute no - before calling the wedding off all together.

In a snippet from her memoir Love and Fury, Paris opened up: "My fiancé clearly didn't understand the amount of planning and organisation that went into a wedding. I was beginning to realise how incredibly impulsive he was, the sort of person who lived life in the moment and liked to make decisions on the hoof. In Tyson's world, our big day could be rescheduled on a whim, just like one of his boxing matches."

Paris didn't stop there - not only did she refuse to adjust their plans, but she actually cancelled their November 2008 wedding completely and ended their relationship altogether!

Tyson, who was reportedly oblivious to the seriousness of Paris' decision, was left shocked. "It was one conflict after another and after an ugly slanging match with him outside Mam's house, I decided to call time on the wedding and our relationship. He thought I was joking and when I dropped the big bombshell, then he realised I was deadly serious.", reports the Daily Record.

However, Tyson wasn't ready to let their love story end there. After a trip to Ibiza, he sent a heartfelt text in a desperate attempt to win her back.

But his message seemed to do more harm than good. Paris remembered: "He sent me an emotionally-charged text. He told me he couldn't believe I'd abandoned our relationship so easily, and he couldn't bear the thought of me meeting somebody else.

Paris added that her later-to-be-husband had ended the message with a warning that if she ever got married he would halt the ceremony. The text message left her 'furious', with Paris deleting it and admitting she dubbed Tyson a 'creep' at the time.

Despite these hurdles, the couple managed to overcome their issues. They stuck to their original wedding date and exchanged vows in Doncaster in front of 300 friends and family members.

Now parents to seven children, the couple enjoys the luxurious lifestyle provided by Tyson's successful boxing career - with the family giving a glimpse into family life via their recent Netflix series, At Home With The Furys.
