Spice Girl Mel C steps out with mystery man for London stroll after split from manager beau
Spice Girl Mel C has sparked whispers she could have found romance once again as she was snapped looking cosy with a mystery male companion during a dog walk in London this weekend.
The singer, 50, also known as sporty spice, split from her music producer boyfriend of seven years Joe Marshall in 2022 and is thought to have been single ever since. But grabbing a takeaway coffee while walking her pooch around, Mel smiled while walking around Hampstead, North London, as her male guest placed his arm around her shoulder.
Cutting a casual and, fittingly, sporty figure, Mel donned a pair of grey Nike tracksuit bottoms with a matching sweatshirt and black bomber jacket on top. While her companion looked dashing in a pair of black jeans with a cream denim jacket. The pair both shielded their eyes with black sunglasses.
OK! has contacted Mel's representatives for a comment. Mel, who is mum to 15 year old daughter Scarlet from her relationship with Thomas Starr, was with her ex Joe from 2015 until 2022.
Two years ago, a source broke the news of their break up to The Sun as they shared: "Mel has an incredibly busy career between her book deal, DJ-ing and other plans.
"The little free time she does have is devoted to her daughter Scarlet, and that doesn't leave much time for a relationship." The source added that their split was "amicable" and she's "not afraid to be single if she thinks it's for the best".
Speaking to OK! before the split was announced, Mel described her daughter Scarlet as her 'best friend' in a sweet tribute. She shared: "Any parents of teenagers will know exactly how much of a handful they can be. But she’s absolutely wonderful. She really is my best friend.”
When asked if she could envisage her daughter following in her footsteps, Melanie admitted she can’t tell at this point. “Scarlet’s not a singer and she’s not sporty,” she says. “She’s on her own path. Where that will lead, who knows? But I’m very proud of her," she said.
In the past, Mel also had a high-profile 90s' relationship with Robbie Williams, which was mentioned in his 2023 Netflix docuseries. In late 2022, Mel also detailed their relationship in her memoir Who I Am, and admitted she didn't warn the Angels singer before the book's release.
"Nah, sod him!” Mel told Women’s Own magazine as they probed whether he had warning beforehand, adding it was a relationship that had simply run its course. She added: “I’m not warning him about anything the way he’s behaved over the years. Like all of us, relationships come and go."
