Eschewing fur for it's faux counterpart is finally catching on in the fashion world. Gucci, Ralph Lauren and Calvin Klein have all joined forces with designers like Stella McCartney to forgo real fur for a synthetic counterpart. Yay for animals.

A longstanding member of PETA, Baywatch actress and former Playboy model Pamela Anderson has, for a long time, fought the use of real fur.

Back in May, we reported that 50 year-old Anderson had sent the First Lady, Melania Trump, a faux fur coat as a gift alongside a note thanking her for not wearing fur, for her husband's inauguration.

She sent her an ado-faux fur coat from Only Me, and Trump responded with a friendly letter, thanking her for the gift and encouraging her beliefs.

Now, Anderson has made the move to convert social media's First Lady, Kim Kardashian West, from her fur-wearing ways to something cruelty free.

According to PETA, The Pamela Anderson Foundation sent a custom 'coral, hip-length, faux-mink coat' from Only Me to Kim, alongside a letter imploring Kardashian West to make the move permanent, closing off her letter detailing a convincing argument to go fur-free by saying, 'Kim, I know your young fans would admire you and your brand even more if you dropped fur.'

We've seen Kim sort various furs recently, though there is no confirmation if they are fake or not.

Fingers crossed Anderson gets another letter in return. We see a friendship budding.
