'No, we are NOT the bridesmaids': Six women wore the same dress to a wedding

Turning up to a friend’s wedding in the same dress as another guest can be mortifying – but imagine wearing the same dress as five other women?

That’s exactly what happened at a recent wedding in Sydney, Australia.

Debbie Speranza showed up wearing the same navy blue lace dress as five other women – and she took to social media to share her experience.

“You really should start a bridal registry so that your customers can enquire whether anyone else has purchased one of your dresses for the same event,” she joked on Ever New’s Facebook page. “No, we are NOT the bridesmaids…just the guests.”

Luckily, there was no Bride Wars-esque response to the matching outfits and all six women were able to laugh it off.

Not, of course, without having a mini photoshoot first, to mark the occasion. Because when else are you likely to turn up at an event with an accidental squad in tow?

It’s almost as if they planned it in advance.
