'Nathan For You's Michael Koman Could Co-Create New 'The Office' Series

Comedy writer and producer Michael Koman could serve as a co-creator of the new The Office series — but only if it gets greenlighted to series.

According to Deadline, Koman is currently working alongside The Office creator Greg Daniels "as a leading creative voice" on the mockumentary, however the series is currently still in development. It remains to be seen whether it will receive a full series order from Universal Television in the future.

Koman's credits include his work as a writer for Late Night With Conan O'Brien and the co-creator, writer and executive producer for Nathan For You, the docu-reality series starring The Curse's Nathan Fielder. He is married to actress Ellie Kemper, who portrayed Erin Hannon on The Office from season five to season nine.

Earlier this year, it was revealed that the show will not be a reboot but rather a spinoff that takes place "within the same world" as the original, which starred Steve Carrell as the head of the Scranton, Pennsylvania, branch of Dunder Mifflin Paper Company. Additional details are yet to be announced.
