Morrisons is selling an absolutely giant burger for Father's Day
Is it just us or have burgers shrunk in recent years?
If you nip into a McDonald’s or Burger King expecting a full-blown meal, you leave with something the size of a cookie.
Thankfully, Morrisons is here to save us as the store has launched a giant burger just in time for Father’s Day.
Four times the size of your average quarter pounder (yep, it’s an entire pound in weight), made of 100% British beef and 18cm in diameter, it costs just £3 a pop.
That’s the same weight as a football. Imagine eating a football (actually, don’t).
It’s not all about looks, either; what Morrisons is calling the ‘Daddy of all Burgers’ is made with paprika, sage and parsley.
And to cook it, the company recommends using a super-hot griddle pan, frying pan or barbeque for four minutes on each side.
It went on sale Tuesday 14 June and will stay on shelves until Sunday 18 June, so there’s still plenty of time to stock up.
The supermarket chain will also be selling giant burger buns for 50p, just in case you were wondering how on earth to serve it.
We’re also assuming you’ll need to buy an entire tomato, block of cheese, bottle of ketchup, bag of salad and onion to garnish it with too.
Reckon you could stomach it?
