This Morning star in heartbreaking update after revealing split from cheating fiancé
This Morning star Michelle Elman revealed this week that she'd split from her fiancé after just 24 hours after discovering he'd been cheating on her.
The author and life coach took to her social media over the weekend to share the huge life update, telling her followers: "All this f*****g sucks, I was engaged for 24 hours".
In an update posted late on Monday, 29 April, Michelle revealed she had actually been "trying for a baby for 3 months" and was currently enjoying the last day of a solo trip she wanted to take before getting pregnant.
The star - whose Instagram tagline is Queen of Boundaries - also said she'd been "overcome by all the love" she'd received since sharing the shocking love life update.
She added: "So I'm on the solo trip now. Coming back tomorrow. Grateful I'm not pregnant and also have gone on dates while here." She also went on to share passages from her book The Selfish Romantic, including notes from chapters titled "A good relationship is worth waiting for".
Sharing the reaction from her friends and family, Michelle wrote: "All my family and friends loved him except one who said 'I just think you chose the safe guy. At least he won't cheat on you" and she told me last week that after my birthday she had changed her mind on him and see how much he adores me and how she thought she'd judged him too harshly."
Posting yesterday alongside an old video of herself talking about how to have a confident mindset, she said: "Yes I know a lot of my posts are deeply ironic now.
"The hazard of posting online but at least you can't say I don't practice what I preach. Good riddance exactly."
In her original break-up post, Michelle shared that she'd been contacted by her fiancé's affair partner on Instagram after the other woman realised they were in a relationship with the same man. Michelle described her as a "lovely woman", and said she had no idea the man she was dating was already in a relationship.
"The main thing people say with cheating is 'did you know' and obviously not because I said yes to marrying him... If someone wants to actively deceive you they will," she said. "When it comes to life coaches there's this illusion that we're perfect, that we're all knowing or we have our lives together, that's not true, I've always said we are five steps ahead and that's how we are able to teach people."
A visibly emotional Michelle adopted a pragmatic approach to the heartbreak, saying: "My own life coach says we never let a good crisis go to waste, and this is a crisis."
