Julia Fox wears American Beauty-inspired sheer naked bodysuit
Earlier this month, we boldly claimed that Julia Fox had debuted her best outfit of the year. While we stand by our statement that the mermaid-core chainmail dress was a moment, this latest look might just knock it out the park.
Let us unpack... A couple of days ago, Julia dropped footage of her starring in Yayoi Kusama's Flower Obsession, which is on display as part of the Japanese artist's exhibition at NGV International, Melbourne. Clearly inspired by the 1999 cult classic film American Beauty, Julia was seen lying on a bed of red flowers wearing a sheer naked bodysuit.
Now, the fashion muse has shared some BTS snaps of the shoot to her Instagram, which showcases the breathtaking look even further. The bodysuit, which has the potential to be the final naked look of 2024, was emblazoned with bright red flowers from head to toe.
Julia continued with this theme in terms of her accessories, and opted for a dramatic Marie Antoinette-inspired hairstyle, complete with further flowers pinned throughout. She then added a statement red lip and Victorian-style makeup, which consisted of pale face powder and rouged cheeks. Finally, she rounded off the look with bleached brows.
Eagle-eyed fans will also notice Julia wore the same red double-platform snakeskin heels she wore with that chainmail dress. Agh! We just love a recycled look!
Due to the fit being so iconic, it was no surprise that a slew of Julia's fans took to the comment section to gush over the ensemble. From calling her the "ultimate muse," to people literally being "speechless," others confirmed that Julia has been serving "consistent looks all year round."
