, has reportedly been locked up in a remote Texas jail after allegedly stabbing his ex-girlfriend Allie Shehorn more than 20 times. The actor was reportedly trying to flee to Mexico when he was apprehended.

The 34 year old Hollywood star is now awaiting extradition back to California where he faces charges of attempted murder, burglary and domestic violence. These charges are connected to the brutal attack on Allie, 35, which took place last month in her Los Angeles home.

Allie was discovered by her "adopted mum" Christine White, who is credited with saving her life. Nick was charged and arrested for the stabbing on Wednesday, May 29.

According to a press release from the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office, Nick has been charged with one count each of attempted murder, first-degree residential burglary with person present, and injuring a spouse, cohabitant, fiance, boyfriend, girlfriend or child's parent. If convicted as charged, he could face a life sentence.

LA District Attorney George Gascon has pledged to bring the actor back to California from Texas. However, according to reports by MailOnline, there is currently "no extradition date in sight."

Makeup artist Allie, who tragically suffered more than 20 stab wounds, had an impressive career in the film industry, working on hits like Mean Girls, Rebel Moon and Babylon as a makeup SPFX artist and hairstylist.

Allie and her ex-partner Nick reportedly crossed paths while working on Rebel Moon, according to the Los Angeles Times. The 35 year old "had recently filed a restraining order against Pasqual," as stated in a press release.

Nick was taken into custody on May 18 on charges related to domestic violence against Allie. His online booking records show that he was later released on a $50,000 bail.

How I Met Your Mother, which is told through a series of flashbacks as Ted Mosby (played by Josh Radnor) tells the stories to his children 25 years later.

Cobie Smulders, who portrays Robin on the show revealed she secretly battled ovarian cancer at the age of 25. The actress was diagnosed with the disease during the third series of the CBS sitcom and underwent numerous surgeries for the following two years.

She revealed she had multiple surgeries across they two years instead of chemotherapy and radiation because of the location of the cancerous tissue on her body.

Speaking to Women's Health magazine, she said: "I had tumours on both ovaries, and the cancer had spread to my lymph nodes and surrounding tissues."
