Meryl Streep And Mark Ronson Just Had The Cutest Mother And Son-In-Law Moment
Proving that last night's Grammy Awards really was a family affair, Meryl Streep took to the stage with her son-in-law, music producer, Mark Ronson, to present the prestigious gong for Record Of The Year.
For those who were unaware of Streep’s surprising connection to the 'Dance The Night' producer, the Grammy's host, Trevor Noah, informed viewers that the Mammia Mia actor is actually his mother-in-law. 'Look at this, Mark Ronson, one of the greatest producers of all time,' the comedian said. 'Get this, his mother-in-law is going to be sitting right here. You know who she is? Meryl Streep, that’s right. Meryl Streep, one of the greatest Meryl Streeps of all time. She’s going to be in this chair. I can’t believe that Meryl Streep is here.'
The Devil Wears Prada actor, who was nominated in the Best Audio Book, Narration, and Storytelling Recording category for her work on Big Tree, a book by Brian Selznick, then slipped into the ceremony before kissing Noah on the cheek. Her son-in-law was also nominated at this year's ceremony in the Song of the Year category for his work on Dua Lipa’s single, 'Dance the Night.'
The 48-year-old producer has been married to Streep’s second eldest daughter, Grace Gummer, for more than two years, with the couple welcoming their first child together last year.
Speaking about her on the red carpet, Ronson confirmed that his daughter has inspired 'a lot' of his music. 'I’ve always just been like someone who’s stayed in the studio all the time,' he said. 'And now it’s like, there’s no song or idea more important than bath time and getting home. That I love.'
