Kate Middleton is said to be "separated" from Prince Harry, with "no sign of a bridge" to help their fractured relationship.

Royal biographer Emily Andrews claims that while Kate's family have been her rock during her cancer treatment, Harry has been noticeably absent. Despite Kate making her first public appearance at last month's Trooping the Colour, her brother-in-law was nowhere to be seen.

Andrews suggests that unlike other royals, Harry hasn't offered his support to Kate, indicating a change in their once close relationship. Harry, 39, was once thought to have referred to Kate as "the sister I never had, but always wanted", highlighting their previously strong bond.

Andrews wrote: "What has kept her going are her family and friends rallying round. Though sadly, the same can't be said for her brother-in-law, who she was once close to.

"Now she's faced with her darkest days, where has Harry been? With his new life in the US, high-profile TV appearances and a scathing book to boot, it is unlikely that Harry's shoulder will be one Kate has sought to cry on.

"But, there lies the rub. Surely illness is one of the most powerful reasons to reunite and to put the past firmly in the history books? Instead, the wedge appears to be even larger, with no sign of a bridge to connect the pair."

The bond between Kate and her brother-in-law is rumoured to have become tense after Harry introduced Meghan Markle to the Royal Family. The tension reportedly escalated in 2018, during the preparations for Harry and Meghan's wedding, reports the Express.

In his explosive memoir Spare, Harry revealed that Kate and Meghan had a disagreement over Princess Charlotte's flower girl dress.

Harry alleged that they then had a text argument that left Meghan 'on the floor sobbing'. The next day, it's reported that Kate sent Meghan flowers and a card to apologise. In 2020, Harry and Meghan decided to step back from Royal duties and relocated their family to Montecito in California, USA.
