Meghan Markle wanted to be "a London girl" according to a former friend of the actor.
Lizzie Cundy, presenter and former footballer's wife, said she has a clip of the Duchess of Sussex praising the capital, and discussing how she loved everything about it.
Cundy told the MailOnline: "We have a clip of her saying: 'I want to be a London girl, I love London men and I love everything to do with London'."
It's understood the clip forms part of Cundy's Amazon Prime show Red Carpet Uncut.
Meghan said during an interview with Cundy that she was finding London cold but said "the people are warm", adding she'd "never been called 'love' or 'darling' more."
Cundy has previously claimed she was "ghosted" by the duchess after she got engaged to Prince Harry.
Yahoo UK has contacted a spokesperson for the duchess for comment.

Cundy said she was asked to "look after" Meghan during a 2013 dinner in London and claims Meghan told her about her marriage split, and wanting an English boyfriend.
She told Grazia: "When she first got together with Harry, I texted her to say how amazing it was and she did reply. But once the ring was on the finger, I soon realised she was off Twitter and that her number wasn’t working. And that was it."
But she said she "wasn't in any way upset" by it.
Cundy has been a presenter for several years and was married to footballer Jason Cundy until December 2012.
Meghan was acting on Suits, playing Rachel Zane, at the time she met Harry, but gave up her role when they announced their engagement in 2017.

There was a three year gap between Meghan's first meeting with Cundy and eventually meeting Harry, who was said to have been introduced to her by a mutual friend, though they have never confirmed who it was.
Meghan and Harry married in May 2018 but left their royal roles in January 2020 to pursue financial independence.
Meghan is currently producing a series for Netflix, and has released a children's book. Harry announced he is releasing his memoirs in late 2022.
