Meghan Markle scores invite to Queen's Christmas lunch, wears £300 Self Portrait dress

Meghan Markle was dressed to impress today as she prepared to meet the entire Royal Family at the Queen’s annual Christmas lunch.
The former actress was pictured being driven by fianceé Prince Harry to Buckingham Palace.

Meghan chose a slightly unexpected look, opting for a £300 midi dress by Self Portrait; a London-based brand created by Malaysian designer Han Chong.
The short-sleeved style featured a semi-sheer lacy top and black midi skirt. Naturally, it’s sold out.
The 36-year-old’s glossy hair was kept down with a pair of diamond drop earrings providing the perfect accessory.

William, Kate, George and Charlotte were also spotted en route to the Palace. The Duchess of Cambridge was dressed in a darker look featuring a fur-collared coat.
The two little royals sat in the backseat accompanied by their nanny Maria Borrallo.

The Queen’s Christmas lunch is the chance for the monarch to catch up with members of the Royal Family who won’t be invited to Sandringham on Christmas Day.
As well as immediate members of the royal family, the Queen’s more distant relations will attend including the ‘most beautiful royal’, Lady Amelia Windsor.

Meghan is set to spend Christmas Day with the Queen, Prince Philip, Harry, William, Kate, Prince Charles and Camilla at Her Majesty’s Sandringham estate in Norfolk.
They will make a public appearance as they attend their regular church service.
