Israeli designer could be behind Meghan Markle's wedding dress
Since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced their engagement, talk of the former actress’ wedding dress is rife.
According to one newspaper, the 36-year-old could opt for a very untraditional designer for the all-important gown.
The Royal Family has reportedly asked Israeli designer Inbal Dror to provide a sketch of a potential wedding dress for Meghan, says the Jerusalem Post.
Based in Tel Aviv, the designer is renowned for creating fairly racy sheer dresses with low-cut necklines and tight-fitting silhouettes.
She previously dressed Beyonce at the 2016 Grammys in a collared, semi-sheer number.
Dror’s custom-made wedding dresses don’t come cheap and sell for between £6000 and £9000.
Although it’s unlikely that the ‘Suits’ star will be allowed to wear anything too sheer, Dror could certainly create Meghan a more demure gown.
“I truly believe that a bride must, first and foremost, be comfortable with her dress choice. A wedding is such a significant event in a woman’s life, and it’s how she feels wearing the dress that emphasises her features, and can make her feel like the queen of the night,” the designer told Brides in 2015.
If Meghan opts for Dror, it would be an unconventional choice considering all royal brides have previously opted for British designers.
The Duchess of Cambridge, as we all know, wore Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen, Zara Phillips turned to royal courtier Stewart Parvin for her gown and Sophie, Countess of Wessex, wore London-based label Samantha Shaw.

However, the former chairman of the British Fashion Council believes that a foreign label would be a good choice.
“We need to be embracing international business,” Harold Tillman told the Daily Mail. “If we get ourselves into ‘She’s marrying a British royal so she has to wear British’ then we’re isolating ourselves.”
Other names in the wedding dress running include Canadian-born, London-based designer Erdem. Meghan wore one of the print-lover’s designs for Harry’s friend’s Jamaican wedding in March.
Victoria Beckham is also said to be a contender after the pair reportedly struck up a friendship. According to The Sun, the former Spice Girl has given Meghan a list of beauty salons to visit in London to prep for her big day.
