Max George back in hospital amid health fears - after asking fans for help
Max George is heading back to the hospital due to concerns about his pacemaker after a strenuous heart operation. The Wanted singer shared with fans that he's been experiencing a "flicking" sensation in his chest since undergoing emergency surgery. This comes just days after the 36 year old was discharged from the hospital following a 2:1 block in his heart. In a recent video posted to his Instagram with the caption, "Any information you guys might have will be much appreciated... Thanks again for all your support."
Singer Max revealed: "I'm in the hospital for another check up because I've been getting this 'flicking' feeling in the left-hand side of my chest." Seeking advice from others with a pacemaker, Max admitted: "The doctors aren't too sure [why this happening]. Hopefully it's maybe a nerve touching it and it'll go away in time or maybe they'll have to move the wires slightly.
"All I'm doing is research at the moment because this came totally out of the blue and I know nothing about pacemakers. Any information I can get would be very appreciated."

Max, who became sober four years ago due to previous liver issues, experienced a significant drop in his heart rate earlier this month. Fans were quick to rush to the comments with their well wishes. One said: "Sounds and looks like it’s doing a great job Max! Definitely get the doctor’s advice tomorrow to be on the safe side! You’re also looking a lot better and looking well."
Another said: "Max you look so much better than you did 2 weeks ago. Look after yourself," a third chimed: "Great to see you looking well Max."
The condition was diagnosed as a 2:1 block - and with no improvement after a week, he underwent an emergency operation to have a pacemaker fitted. Things seemed to be improving when he was released for Christmas Day and managed a short walk outside with girlfriend Maisie Smith. However, just days later, Max is dealing with further discomfort due to the "flicking" in his heart.
Former EastEnders actress Maisie has been supporting Max amidst her panto commitments. The smitten pair have been inseparable since they made their relationship official in August 2022 and are now sharing a home together.
His most recent updates have come a week after doctors found "some issues" with his heart after a terrifying hospital dash. Max explained how he’d been admitted to hospital after feeling unwell as he shared a snap of himself in his hospital bed and gave a thumbs up for the camera.
"Hey everyone, Yesterday I felt really unwell and was taken in to hospital. Unfortunately after some tests they’ve found that I have some issues with my heart. I have a lot more tests to determine the extent of the problems and what surgery I will need to get me back on my feet," he wrote.
While in hospital preparing for surgery, Max was able to send a message to his mum, Barbara, wishing her a happy birthday. In the post, which featured a photo of Max and his mum alongside Max’s girlfriend Maisie Smith and his brother Jack, Max wrote: Happy birthday mum!! I don’t know what I’d do without you. Love you. Max xxx.”
