Maisie Adam reveals she got married hours before Soccer Aid match

Comedian Maisie Adam has revealed she got married the day before she played at Soccer Aid on Sunday.

The 29-year-old funnywoman tied the knot with Mike Dobinson in Brighton on Saturday and travelled to Old Trafford in Manchester on Sunday to play for the World XI team during the charity football match.

She shared professional photos from the big day alongside the caption, "We did it", with a love heart emoji.

Before the match, Maisie live-streamed her reaction as a graphic revealed who manager Mauricio Pochettino had picked for his starting line-up.

"OK, I've got to Old Trafford straight from the wedding, I'm seeing who Poch has named as the starting 11," she said in the video, before her name flash onscreen and she looked visibly shocked. "Sorry, I'm starting?! On the day after my wedding?! Opposite Usain Bolt?! Oh, good Lord."

In the caption, she joked, "In the last 24 hours I have got married and been named in Mauricio Pochettino's starting squad for

@socceraid in front of a sold out Old Trafford. (Don't vom on the pitch, don't vom on the pitch, don't vom on the pitch....)"

According to Metro, Maisie said during the broadcast, "I've watched this as a fan for years and it's a genuinely an honour to finally be part of it. I've been more nervous for this than I was the wedding."

Maisie topped off her weekend with another celebration - the World XI team beat the England side 4-2 during the celebrity football match, which raises money for UNICEF.
