If there's one thing I miss the most during the hot, humid summer months, it’s wearing pants. Yes, I’m serious! Living in New York City, it’s basically impossible for me to wear anything other than flowy dresses and skirts between June and September. I need something airy! I need something breezy! And as we all know, pants aren’t always that — unless you get in on the big, baggy trend, which I, of course, did wear a few times this past summer. But alas, fall is here, aka means boot, sweater, and pants season is officially upon us. I’m fully rejoicing because boy, did I miss my pants.
I’m a jeans girl through and through, but given the trending styles of fall 2023 — ahem, I’m talking about you, big, baggy trousers and cool, calm, collected cargos — I think I might have to veer away from strictly wearing denim. I don’t know if it’s because I haven’t worn pants in so long or the styles of fall 2023 are simply too good to pass up, but I really do have a thing for bottoms this season. Silhouettes have been updated and upgraded; styles of past decades have made a return (ahem, cargo); and baggy jeans, which basically wear like sweats, are still a celeb favorite. I’m especially eyeing these wide-leg cargos that are currently marked down to $35 with an onsite coupon. Not only is $35 a steal for pants, but the baggy, trouser-esque vibes they exude give them a more trend-forward touch. I’ll be styling these all fall with baggy sweaters — and sometimes a crop top if the weather permits — plus pointed-toe footwear because there's no combo I love more than billowy pants with pointed shoes.

Other standout fall pants on major sale ahead of Amazon’s October Prime Day include these Hudson high-rise pants that made me do a double take, not only because they’re so sexy, which they are, but because the price made me think there was a typo. Alas, there was not — the $145 bottoms are currently marked down to just $37, and I’ll be the first to tell you that Hudson’s pants are among the best I’ve tried. So, snag this faux-leather pair before everyone else does. Levi’s are also discounted, and we all know that when the iconic denim brand puts anything on sale, it’s worth adding to your cart.
