Love Island's Anton reveals real reason he and Georgia broke up – and it wasn't the long distance

Love Islander Anton Danyluk has revealed the real reason why he and his villa girlfriend, Georgia Harrison called it quits.

The former couple got together on the first ever series of Love Island: All Stars, which saw ex islanders return to the villa for a second chance at love.

Back in February, Anton and Georgia came fifth on All Stars - being pipped to the post by winners Molly Smith and Tom Clare - but they split last month. The couple reportedly broke up due to being unable to make their long distance relationship work.

Anton lives in Scotland, while Georgia resides down south in Essex. However, Anton has since dismissed this claim.

Speaking on his podcast, What's the Crack, which he co hosts alongside his mum, Sherie, the 29 year old explained that he wanted his fans to "hear [about their break up] from the horse's mouth."

"In the press, a source said the distance was the issue, now we were in London every other week so I don't think distance was the issue," he said.

"Obviously that wasn't the case. I just wanted to clear up the whole break up in general," he stated, adding that when they came out of the South African villa earlier in the year, they "tried to give it a fair go." But ultimately, it just didn't work out.

Anton's mum Sherie then weighed in on the discussion, confirming that the ex couple did see each other a lot after All Stars ended. However, she then said that she "knew within that it was actually just a really really good friendship."

"I think the two of you got more into that friendship with each other," she mused.

Anton, who boasts 1.1 million followers on Instagram seemed to agree with his mother, adding that he didn't think there was "a romantic spark there." He was sure to note that both he and Georgia tried - and at times they noticed a spark - but there was "just not enough for it to continue as a relationship."

Anton first shot to fame back in 2019 when he appeared on series five of the reality show. He was coupled up with Belle Hassan, with the pair leaving the villa as a couple. As fans know, their relationship wasn't to be, either.

Georgia was a cast member on the third series in 2017, where she entered the villa as a bombshell. She was subsequently dumped twelve days later alongside Sam Gowland.
